Insurance Claims
1
Initial Roof Inspection
Before filing an insurance claim, schedule an inspection with us. We will assess your roof to determine if it qualifies for an insurance claim. This initial step is crucial in identifying storm-related damages that may be paid for under your policy.
2
Filing the Claim
Once we confirm that your roof qualifies, you can proceed to file an insurance claim. We will assist you in gathering the necessary documentation and information to support your claim.
3
Adjuster Meeting
We will meet with the insurance adjuster to discuss all storm-related damages. Having us present ensures that all damages are thoroughly reviewed and accurately reported.
4
Review of Insurance Scope
The insurance company will send a detailed scope of the coverage they are opening up. We will review this document with you to explain what has been approved. If there are any discrepancies or missing items, we can request additional coverage from your adjuster.
5
Initial Payment and Mortgage Endorsement
The insurance company will issue the first payment based on their estimate. If you have a mortgage, your mortgage company will be listed as a co-payee. We will guide you through the process of getting the check endorsed by your mortgage company.
6
Scheduling the Work
Once the initial payment is received and the check is endorsed, we will schedule the roofing work. Our team will coordinate the project to ensure timely and quality completion.
7
Payment and Deductible
Upon completion of the roof work, we will collect the first payment along with your deductible. Your deductible is the amount you are responsible for paying out of pocket, with the insurance covering repairs beyond this amount.
8
Final Invoice and Payment Release
We will send the final invoice to your insurance company to release the final payment, also known as depreciation. If any additional repairs are needed during the project, we will submit a change order (supplement) to your insurance for review and additional payment.
9
Collection of Final Payment
Once all approved work is completed, and the insurance company releases the final payment, we will collect this payment to close out your claim.
Important Note on Deductibles
The deductible is the amount you, as the homeowner, are responsible for paying out of pocket. Repairs that exceed this amount are covered by your insurance. It's essential to have us inspect your property before filing a claim. If repairs can be made for less than the deductible, it is often more cost-effective to pay for the repairs yourself rather than filing a claim.

By following this process, we ensure that your roofing insurance claim is handled professionally and efficiently, providing you with peace of mind and a properly restored roof.
